Alex is an attorney at Toates Law Firm whose practice focuses on residential and commercial real estate transactions. Licensed in both South Carolina and North Carolina, he handles title examinations and resolution, helping clients navigate issues affecting ownership and the transfer of real property. He also guides clients through residential and commercial closings, working closely with buyers, sellers, lenders, and real estate professionals throughout the process.
A native of Asheville, North Carolina, Alex earned his B.A. in Political Science and History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his J.D. from Campbell University School of Law. He began his career practicing real estate law in Western North Carolina before relocating to Greenville and joining Toates Law Firm
Alex’s experience practicing in both Carolinas gives clients a broad regional perspective and a practical approach to title, closings, and other real estate matters. He takes pride in providing responsive service and helping clients navigate transactions with confidence.
Outside the office, Alex enjoys spending time with family and friends and cheering on his Tar Heels. He is also proud to have completed the Journey of Hope, cycling more than 4,000 miles across the country from Seattle to Washington, D.C., to raise awareness and support for individuals with disabilities.
